Age-Esteemers Come In All Shapes And Sizes

I love to meet age-esteemers in different parts of the world. Here I am in Yvoire, France studying a newly found age-esteemer standing in front of one of the shops.

Age-esteemers come in all shapes and sizes, but they are easy to recognize. They draw people of all ages to them because they are happy and confident in being just who they are, their authentic selves.

Giving Thanks

What a wonderful reminder to give thanks on this special day for all the blessings that surround us.

I am especially thankful for the people in my life who make my heart brim with love.

  • My granddaughters who remind me how to play and laugh with abandon,
  • Our daughter and her husband who are cascading the love and values of family to the next generation,
  • Our extended family of all ages who share their lives with us and keep us current,
  • Friends who dare say, “I love you” and hug with genuine warmth,
  • People who have passed through my life, often without a name, who have marked me in some positive way through a word or action,
  • The parents and grandparents who did their best to transmit their values, faith, and zest for life that continue to guide me today, and especially
  • My husband of 49 years who encourages and supports my dreams and is always present with his unconditional love, allowing me to be my authentic self.

Oh, yes, my heart overflows with thanksgiving and gratitude for all of this and so much more.

P.S. The cute turkey was drawn by Rani, one of our young friends whose family invited us to celebrate Thanksgiving Day with them.

How To Attract Love

How To Attract Love

Have you ever noticed how wonderful things happen when you least expect them?  The same is true for love.  Love has to find you.

How?  By being your wonderful, authentic self.  It is no good to pretend to be someone else, because you will not attract the right love if you do.  You want to be loved as you, with all your qualities and your faults.  You want to be accepted for who you are.  So just be yourself!  Love yourself.  Get on with life, doing what you love and loving what you do.

When you are happy and enjoying life, you become attractive.  You have an inner glow and excitement that attracts other people to you positively, the kind of people who will appreciate you for who you are.

  • Meet new people: practice a sport, volunteer in the community, join a club.
  • Participate in activities that you enjoy and that use your talents.
  • Be visible.  It is difficult to attract love if no one sees you.
  • Mix with people of all ages.
  • Encourage, support and mentor others.
If you are happy and comfortable with yourself, other people will want to be around you.  You will attract love.
