Combatting Allergies For Healthy Aging

The beautiful season of spring is here.  The earth is bursting with color. – White apple blossoms, the pink of cherry trees, the yellow of forsythia, and the purple of lilac to name a few.   However, there is also pollen, which brings terrible allergies.

Respiratory allergies are very prevalent today.  Pollen also affects the eyes making them itchy, and the nose stuffy.  Asthma becomes a nightmare for some.  It seems that one is never born with asthma but over the years it develops due to allergies.

More and more people today are diagnosed with these symptoms, which is probably due to our modern way of living.  Allergies come from an over-developed immune system.

Feeling miserable with allergies can effect your age esteem, so for healthy aging and healthy age esteem practice the following tips when pollen fills the air.

When spring approaches and the pollen is rampant, there are a few things one can do to help.  Close windows in the morning when the pollen is most present; do not put clothes or sheets outside; wash hair in the evening and avoid picnics and nature walks.  Unfortunately, this is difficult to do during this season. but it will help to control the allergies.

Should symptoms become really bad, medical attention should be received because the allergies can become severe.

One positive point: This condition does not last!
