Valentine’s Day is coming up,
Get out your porcelain loving cup,
And plan to kiss the ones you love,
(While thanking all the stars above).

Every heart already smitten:
Loving words have all been said,
Roses still remain as Red;
Still, it’s nice to hear anew:

Do Not Think About The Past
“I do not think about the Past –
I had one but it didn’t last!”

Every one with clever rhymes.

Age Esteem
Is when you’ll seem
To like the age you are.
There is no old
If you are bold
To be your shining star.

Aging Has Changed
A long time ago
Or so it does seem,
We endured growing old
But without AgeEsteem.
We drooped and we sagged
With the burden of Time,
We stooped and we dragged
With heedless decline.
But now all has changed,
Our future is bright!
Our age is arranged
By the Esteem in sight!
We can face every day
With delight, NOT dismay,
And I hasten to say:
Two New Hips and Hooray!

Halloween in Geneva
Have you seen Halloween in Genève?
There are ghosts at the Postes au Salève.
Witches park in the dark under trees,
Goblins scowl as they prowl in the bise.
Slinky cats snarl at bats by the Quai.
I’ll remember in November all this fray.

Autumn leaves are turning
From green to red and gold,
The elderly are yearning
To keep their years on hold.

It’s the same with people, too,

Gratitude Is My Attitude
When I was born,
In a Hotel Suite,
With Mother, Father, and brother Pete,
Our cast of four was thus complete,
An absolutely perfect feat!
All was perfect, or so it seemed,
And then we grew and grew much older
(We’d not yet heard of Age Esteem!)
each year braver, brighter, bolder.
Now I am in a Twilight zone,
My future’s not as long as yore,
The family’s gone, I’m left alone
But positive there’s much in store:
Depending on my attitude
And facing Life with Gratitude!
