Sunflower Seeds For Healthy Aging

Instead of munching on packaged candy, try sunflower seeds!

Sunflower seeds are rich in zinc which helps to strengthen the immune system; and they are good for the nervous system, as they contain high quantities of the vitamin B complex, so good for anti-stress.

Sunflower seeds contain beta-carotene, and their oil is the good fat that is important for the heart.

So why not carry some in your pocket as you move among your age esteem activities of the day?

Red and White Grapes For Healthy Aging

Red and White Grapes For Healthy Aging

This is the season for delicious, fresh grapes straight off the vine. Their savor and healthy qualities are ideal for your age esteem.

Red and white grapes are a wonderful fruit, the basis for wine and a cleaning product for your body! They are a very powerful antioxidant, which cleanses and revitalizes the body. They are a great aid in improving circulation.

A grape cure drains the organs and eliminates toxins that are accumulated in them. Grapes dissolve acid deposits, which can cause pain.  Eating them often will help drain the liver, the intestines and the kidneys of impurities. They alleviate the work of the digestive system.

Finally, grapes are rich in water and in magnesium, which are the main properties in eliminating the toxins from the body. With grapes in your diet you will feel less tired and look and feel rejuvenated as well, full of age esteem.

Note: Be sure to wash the grapes very well before eating to eliminate any pesticides.

At Halloween

At Halloween and most events

One hides behind a mask;

With Age Esteem one sheds pretense

And challenges each task!

So switch your witch’s costume act

And subdue the ghosts of youth,

Stay young and age with fun and tact

And subscribe to Bonnie’s truths!

How You Walk Influences Your Health

Walking

How You Walk Influences Your Health

The way in which you walk influences your health, and therefore your age esteem!

Your shoes indicate the quality of your walking style.  If the heel of your shoe wears out quickly, it means that it is used too much in supporting the body.  If the shoes become wider, it confirms that the shoe is not fitted correctly, and this affects the pains and pressure on the body.

When you walk your feet should be posed firmly on the ground. Otherwise your hips, articulations and other parts of the body will begin to hurt.  Feet should not be placed closely together but with a little separation and posed one before the other when walking.

Walking is excellent for both your physical and mental health at every age. It is a simple exercise that also increases your age esteem. Choose your shoes well and be conscious of how you walk.

Age Esteem’s Classmate

If you think “I am”, instead

Of feeling that “I’m NOT”,

You will rise above the dread

Of negative’s sly plot.

Planted in your mind will be

The flowering tree of age,

Growing years productively

“Rosemerry”, “TiAMe” and sage.

Say: “I am the burgeoning bloom:

One of a kind and just great!

I am the one to banish gloom;

I am Age Esteem’s classmate!”

Pain  Dealing With Pain

Pain is stress for the body. Here are several ways to deal with pain:

  • Regarding teeth, cloves appease the pain until an appointment can be made with the dentist.
  • Backache and other muscular pain are successfully relieved with heat such as a hot bath or even a hair dryer!
  • Cold is good for sharp pains and accidents affecting muscles.
  • For insect bites or burns, there are many creams on the market that stop this pain.
  • Acupuncture is used in eradicating constant pain, and it works.

You Are Special At Every Age

Mirror

You Are Special At Every Age

You look in the mirror – the mirror looks back.

It is your reflection, but there’s something it lacks.

Your face is the place where the person is you.

But your innermost self needs to really shine through.

Smiling begins the whole transformation

And then cheer and real joy and elation.

Ignore all the manifestations of Age

You’re special and startling at every stage.

Some Hair Loss Is Normal

Hair loss

Some Hair Loss is Normal

Are you concerned about loss of hair or nails that are in bad shape?  This can be due to heredity or lack of nutrients.  Stress plays an important part in this as well. Emotional shock, a contagious disease, dermatological problems, hormonal imbalance and even sometimes side effects of medication can cause loss of hair.

It is normal to lose 60 to 70 hairs a day.  Don’t panic because they grow back again. Depending on the cause proper treatment can be applied with various hair products.

The same is true of nails.  Nourish them with vitamins – principally the vitamin B group and calcium and magnesium. For nails specifically, massage them with olive or almond oil mixed with lemon oil used in aromatherapy.
