Valentine, I Love You!
Valentine’s Day is coming up,
Get out your porcelain loving cup,
And plan to kiss the ones you love,
(While thanking all the stars above).
All the love poems have been written,
Every heart already smitten:
Loving words have all been said,
Roses still remain as Red;
Still, it’s nice to hear anew:
“Valentine, I do love You!

Sea Salt For Healthy Aging
Feeling good and being healthy are important factors to enhance your age esteem. Sea salt can benefit both.
Sea salt makes the skin look cleaner and softer. Seawater increases moisture retention in the skin and purifies it. It is very therapeutic in treating eczema, psoriasis and acne. It disinfects sores and wounds.
To alleviate aching muscles and joints, take a hot seawater bath. Bath salts are easily found in many shops or simply buy the coarse sea salt for cooking at the grocery store.

Do Not Think About The Past
“I do not think about the Past –
I had one but it didn’t last!”
Those words were said by Ogden Nash –
His poems all had a lot of dash!
They lasted ‘til our present times,
Every one with clever rhymes.
Our Past is past, so now we can
Concentrate on a Present plan
Of how to Age with great aplomb,
And Esteem ourselves for what’s to come!

Eating Alone – With Age Esteem
I love to travel, but I do admit that it took me awhile to feel comfortable eating alone.
Usually when you are welcomed to a restaurant the person who seats you says, “Just one?” as though there is something objectionable about being alone, and that you must therefore be lonely. As a result, you do feel alone. I used to pull out a book or writing paper to seem busy. Then a friend shared this story.
She and her business partner closed a huge contract in New York. Although her partner had to fly out immediately, my friend decided to celebrate with a delicious dinner and wine at one of the top Manhattan restaurants.
When she arrived the maître d’hôtel looked down his nose at her and announced, “Ah, I see Madam is alone tonight.” My friend’s prompt reply was, “Oh, no, tonight I am with myself!”
Her story changed my outlook from eating alone, to eating “with myself”. I now savor the moment, the food, and the joy of being in my own good company.
Today at the Tampa airport the woman who greeted me asked, “A party of one?” I responded, “Yes. And it is going to be a great party!” – And it was.
Next time you eat out alone, glow with age esteem and make it a party of one.

Chilli Peppers For Healthy Aging
Chilli peppers. These small peppers bring a very hot taste to various cuisines. They are known to dilate the blood vessels, but in addition are antioxidants and antiseptics.
Be careful when touching them not to rub the eyes as they will give a burning sensation.
To combat the fiery sensation when you eat chilli peppers do not drink water. Instead drink a glass of cold milk or eat some yogurt to calm the hot taste.

Esteem At Every Age
LIFE is a little like these rhymes:
It doesn’t “jingle” all the time!
You need to stop and try to find
The LYRICAL within your mind.
POETRY is a way to say
“Ah ha”, there is another way
For making every age to seem
So VERSEatile and so esteemed!
Start with A and go to E
It really works…just try and see!

Vinegar For Healthy Aging
Vinegar is another of nature’s miracles. Its attributes: because of its calcium content, reduces bone damage, lowers blood pressure, lowers cholesterol, soothes insect bites such as wasps and even improves the quality of hair.

Age Esteem – A Poem
Age Esteem
Is when you’ll seem
To like the age you are.
There is no old
If you are bold
To be your shining star.
It isn’t hard
To draw the card
That’s highest in your hand…
The one which wins
Your youthful whims
And slows the hour-glass sands!

Sitting Can Be Hazardous To Your Health
Sitting is considered the new smoking. It can be hazardous to your health.
It is especially important to keep active as we grow older and to avoid sitting for long periods of timeA recent study in the British Journal of Sports Medicine shows that sitting less often and standing for longer periods of time is an excellent anti-aging technique. Spending more time on two feet protects DNA.
A Swedish study showed that people spend more time exercising, but they are also sitting for longer periods. It seems that this is a new health hazard of our times.
The time that people spend standing helps to increase their life span.
People with age esteem know that it is important to remain active and to nurture activities that necessitate movement even if that movement may be limited in scope.

Aging Has Changed
A long time ago
Or so it does seem,
We endured growing old
But without AgeEsteem.
We drooped and we sagged
With the burden of Time,
We stooped and we dragged
With heedless decline.
But now all has changed,
Our future is bright!
Our age is arranged
By the Esteem in sight!
We can face every day
With delight, NOT dismay,
And I hasten to say:
Two New Hips and Hooray!
