Life’s Most Rewarding Age
Every time I start to dream
Of growing young, (as I have been),
I think how lucky I’m esteemed
For what I’ve learned since a young teen:
The Ups and Downs, it’s taken years
To comprehend and calm my fears!
I wasn’t wise when I was young,
It’s only now I’ve shed and wrung
Away the useless tears and rage
And live Life’s Most rewarding Age !

The Best Use of Your Time
There is no need to rhyme
Nor to dance, nor to sing;
The BEST use of your time
And to get in the swing
Of your AGE, is to be
Complete and true to
The ONE who all can see:
The most unique YOU !

How Best To Live
Even though it sounds and seems
Easy to have Age Esteem,
It takes a lot of practice, and
The common sense you have at hand.
You mustn’t look at outward signs
(like growing gray and forehead lines !)
It’s all about the inner you,
The spirit that you grow anew
In each and every brand new day –
How best to live along the way.

A Poem
A Poem
is at home
within your heart.
A Verse
(even terse)
is an art.
A Rhyme,
every time,
would be smart.
Age Esteem
is to deem (like a dream)
a good start!

Why?
Why is it that we are taught to think
That growing old is past the brink,
And that the rest is all down hill
Without a means to prove one’s will?
Age Esteem will return your pride
And put a ZIP into your stride
So each day try to do your best:
Aim for esteem, pizzazz and zest!

Satisfied
Just when you think that you’re all worn out,
Straighten up, stand strong, give a shout:
“Hooray for the day!
Come what may
I will greet it with joy and gratitude,
And a cheerful, confident attitude.”
I am alive and
Satisfied!

Esteemed
If ever I am feeling gloom
Enter in to my mental room,
I turn away and close that door
And think I should be happy for
My life and health and friends and love
And goodly spirits from above.
However bleak old age may seem
There’s still much joy to be ESTEEMed!

Shine Each Day!
Today I just lost my patience.
The saying is “she lost her cool”;
While caring for a patient!
I should have known the Golden Rule:
Do NOT fly off the handle
Always try to please…
Light your good natured candle
And shine each day with ease!

Eliminate And Esteem ate
If sometimes you’re not feeling great
Here are words to eliminate:
Sad and mad and old age fears,
Grim and dim and useless tears,
Down with frowns and joyless jeers,
Up into your highest gears!
Gauge your worth and gravitate
Towards what you most can ESTEEMate.

With Age Esteem you’re ready for
The Tricks and Treats at your front door;
Take off your mask of dread: Be Bold!
Say “Boo” to the task of growing old.
Cornucopias and sweet rewards
Find those who are always looking towards,
All the years to come, and in between,
And never back to what might have been.
