By The Sea

This poem is written by the sea,

The sky is blue, oh lucky me!

The ocean waves at those on shore,

The beaches shine, my spirits soar.

The “sea ne’s the same for young or old,

Its loveliness is manifold.

And so can you at best be “sea n”

When practicing your AgeEsteem!

Time

Time

We live in a country of time,

With watches and hall clocks which chime,

We fill every minute

By duties within it,

While the Alps, standing still, stay sublime!

Sometimes it is best to just STOP

And lay down your schedules (and mop!)

Now is important, not when,

Try to Be, not one who has been!

Decide to wind down: stay on top!

Take Pride In Your Own Age Esteem!

Take Pride In Your Own Age Esteem!

One, two, three, four,

What ARE you waiting for?

Five, six, seven, eight,

Enjoy life; it’s not too late!

Nine, ten, eleven, twelve,

“Dig” each day – Dare to delve

Into and on, way past thirteen…

Take pride in your own Age Esteem!

Live With Zest

Live With Zest

Zest is a word that is easy to rhyme;

It is NOT just used for lemons and limes!

It’s YOU when you’re feeling and showing your best

With Zip in your mind-set and Zing as the rest.

It’s energy, synergy, how great you can seem

With razzle and dazzle and YOUR Age Esteem.

One Of Those Days

One Of Those Days

Everybody has those days:

A kind of parting of the ways

When nothing seems to be all right –

You think you are a sorry sight

Wrinkles show, your waist is fat

What’s to like in all of that?

Shake your finger at those moods

Think of all your aptitudes!

You’re NOT a perfect “mixing bowl”

You ARE a one and unique soul.

So, smile and let that be your choice:

Revive, Restore, Relive, Rejoice!

Each Age Has Esteem

Each Age Has Esteem

(A While-Walking Poem*)

We often hear of happy endings

They make our lives so well worthwhile;

Much nicer still are “happy durings”

They lead to one long lasting smile!

Why wait for bliss to come and find you

It’s NOW, TODAY, just look and glean!

The best to come is not behind you,

EACH age has so much to esteem.

Middle Age

Middle Age

Middle age, that’s how we can

Be somewhere in between.

Not young. Not old, the spectrum span!

And either way esteemed!

There is no age to attitudes,

You are the way you feel.

So down with ancient platitudes

And let your “age bells” peal!

Life’s Garden

Life’s Garden

Growing old (or growing young!)

The keywords are “to grow”.

Hum or sing the songs you sung

Those ageless years ago!

Growth of mind and spirits will

Enrich each precious day,

Plant life’s garden path until

You are your own bouquet.

Life’s Most Rewarding Age

Life’s Most Rewarding Age

Every time I start to dream

Of growing young, (as I have been),

I think how lucky I’m esteemed

For what I’ve learned since a young teen:

The Ups and Downs, it’s taken years

To comprehend and calm my fears!

I wasn’t wise when I was young,

It’s only now I’ve shed and wrung

Away the useless tears and rage

And live Life’s Most rewarding Age !

The Best Use Of Your Time

The Best Use of Your Time

There is no need to rhyme

Nor to dance, nor to sing;

The BEST use of your time

And to get in the swing

Of your AGE, is to be

Complete and true to

The ONE who all can see:

The most unique YOU !
